Sheikh Hasina's life is like a Phoenix ballad

Sheikh Hasina's life is like a mythical phoenix. If anyone wants to find out the background of his life, this can be a good example to describe it. The emergence of the psyche of democracy is like the new life of Phoenix from the ashes of its predecessor. He emerged as the Savior when the nation faced prolonged uncertainty after the August 15, 1975 massacre.

Sheikh Hasina, the eldest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, accidentally survived the assassination along with her younger sister Sheikh Rehana. The assassins wanted to erase the whole line of his blood inheritance from the man who led the lifelong struggle for the dignity and rights of the masses and established an independent Bangladesh.

But the plan of the Almighty was different - Sheikh Hasina, the best image of a Bengali woman, came forward to lead the nation - perhaps to complete the unfinished work of Bangabandhu. ‘I am none other than your daughter, sister or mother, who you can go to if you want. I am not far away. I am very close to you, "he once said of himself in an interview.

‘Look at my name - Hasina. You will find this simple and straightforward name in countless families across rural Bengal - ha ha na.Sheikh Hasina was born into a middle-class family in a remote village in southwestern Bangladesh in 1947, when world history was witnessing a significant shift in the division of the Indian subcontinent with the end of nearly 200 years of British rule. The family still had nothing special to gain except respect for generosity and interest in education.

When nature nurtured her father as the future architect of the country and the father of the nation as a politician, which is why she often had to stay away from family, the beloved daughter grew up on the banks of the Madhumati river in the open air of Tungipara village like any other ordinary child.

Reminiscing about her childhood, Sheikh Hasina said that she used to wander in the village streets with her peers, often looking for raw cool, which is the ideal way of life for a traditional Bengali child. Loves to remember how he used to fish with other kids with a fishing net ‘Ocha’. Decades later, in a conversation with a group of children, he recounted his childhood mischief, such as climbing a tree in a village house, swimming in a canal, fishing, and eating raw mangoes from another tree.

"Those were the best times of my life," said the current prime minister. Growing up among the parents' five children at home, she was a very homely girl, with a strong love for her parents and younger siblings. Familiarity with nature and interaction with the common people of the village has created in him the love for the people as well as the environment, social bonds and the ability to understand traditional intelligence or folk wisdom. This understanding and love for nature and man, along with inherited family values, formed the main character.

Despite the incredible and everlasting connection with the village, anyone who admires or criticizes Sheikh Hasina will recognize her as a citizen by acknowledging her natural smartness, progressive outlook, love for culture and her unique style in appearance, dress and conversation.

Several close friends of Bangabandhu's daughter recall, when she was a university student; At that time, the shelves of his personal books were filled with high quality literature and biographies of great people. He liked the literature of Rabindranath Tagore. Poets Kazi Nazrul Islam, Jibanananda Das and Sukanta Bhattacharya are also favorite writers. Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay's famous Pather Panchali is a favorite novel. His passion for literature has enriched him with extra eyes to understand human nature and life, which is a very important quality for political personalities and politicians of his size.

People close to him or those who keep an eye on Sheikh Hasina as a 'public figure' also find affection for music, film and history in her. In the personal circle of the Awami League president, he, as an intellectual, expresses his own views about poets, singers or musicians and actors.

Acquaintances said that besides politics, there could be wide-ranging debates with Sheikh Hasina on a wide range of issues like film, TV serials, literary trends and prices of daily necessities. The quality of innate leadership, boundless vitality, extraordinary sense of humor, compassionate mind and sense of dignity have placed him at the center of every field where he has been and is.
"I have been involved in the country's political ups and downs and the Awami League since I was a child," Sheikh Hasina once wrote in an article. He witnessed the unbearable oppression that his father and his colleagues endured during the democratic movement. When his mother Begum Fazilatunnesa also saw Mujib giving guidance to the family and the team behind the scenes. "My first lesson in politics came from my family environment," the current head of government wrote.
But his case was not like the appearance of a lucky princess on the stage arranged as the heir to the throne. It is actually the experience of a girl who grew up watching her father fight for the rights of the common man by giving up personal comforts and opportunities. He observes that his father's struggles have often left him and his family in dire straits. Despite all the promises, affections and worries towards the family as a son, husband and father, his own mission has often prevented him from living the life of an ordinary family man.
