' The span was brought to a floating crane about 20 meters away from the pole on Wednesday afternoon. The floating crane took the span to the pole at around 10 am today. At this time a festive atmosphere was created at the scene.

The installation of the latest span marks the completion of the most important major work on the Padma Bridge. After the installation of road and rail slabs is completed, vehicles and trains will be able to move through the bridge.
