Haque’s burial will take place at Namajgarh Graveyard in Bogura, his hometown, following a state Guard of Honour.
Haque had a long and distinguished career in Bangladesh’s corporate and research sectors. He served as Chairman of AIMS of Bangladesh Limited from 2001 to 2025, completing an uninterrupted 25-year tenure at the country’s first asset management company established under private initiative. During his tenure, he continued to enjoy the confidence and respect of the company’s shareholders and directors.
He was also Chairman and Managing Director of Org-Quest Research Limited (OrQuest), a joint venture survey research company.
An economics graduate from the University of Dhaka, Haque obtained both his BA (Hons.) and MA in Economics from the university. He later earned an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of the University of Dhaka. He was also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) of the International Institute of Management Consultants, Australia.
Haque began his entrepreneurial journey in the research sector in 1994 when he founded ORG-MARG Quest Limited (OMQ). The company went on to become a leading joint venture social and market research firm in Bangladesh.
In early 2003, he divested his stake in OMQ to AC Nielsen and subsequently founded Quest & Aims Consulting Services. In 2004, the organisation was transformed into Org-Quest Research Limited through a joint venture with ORG India Limited.
Haque received his early education at Rajshahi Cadet College.
His death has brought deep sorrow to the Board of Directors, management and employees of AIMS of Bangladesh Limited and Org-Quest Research Limited. In statements following his death, the organisations expressed condolences to his bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah for forgiveness of his shortcomings, eternal peace and his admission into Jannatul Firdaus.
